Aroha's story

Aroha and her 6 tamariki had been struggling with unstable housing for over a year. After connecting with Te Pera Mahi Oranga’s transitional housing program, they found a safe, warm place to live. With personalised support, Aroha accessed health services, enrolled her children in school, and secured stable employment. Within six months, Aroha moved into permanent housing, feeling empowered and hopeful for the future.
